• Secondment at Amazon: Key legal contact person for the operations and retail business with the following key responsibilities – contract negotiations, compliance, risk assessment and providing strategic advice to various business units
• Advised San Miguel (Argentina) regarding the disposal of San Miguel Fruits South Africa (Pty) Ltd to Spanish citrus fruit grower and processor Citrico.
• Advised San Miguel (Argentina) regarding the establishment of a lemon processing plant in the Coega SEZ.
• Advised San Miguel Natural Ingredients (Pty) Ltd on various citrus farming agreements.
• Advised China Harbour Engineering Company Limited in respect of its proposed private participation in the Durban Container Terminal Pier 2 project, with Transnet as the co shareholder.
• Advised Brimstone Investment Corporation Ltd regarding the disposal of House of Monatic (Pty) Ltd to The Foschini Group.
• Advised Mackay Communications Inc (U.S entity) on the acquisition of Dynamic Marine Systems (Pty) Ltd and Dynamic Marine South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
• Advised, as part of a team, the OneLogix Group regarding several acquisitions and disposals and various commercial agreements including transport and logistics services agreements
• Advised Rymco t/a Anchor Yeast in respect of various commercial agreements including supply, distribution and customer agreements.
• Conducted, co-ordinated and led a complex, cross-border due diligence investigation on entities in Cyprus in respect of a €125,000,000 convertible loan.
• Conducted and co-ordinated a complex due diligence investigation on the acquisition of Kenilworth Racing (Pty) Ltd.
• Conducted and co-ordinated various due diligence investigations on potential franchisees of Global Hospitality Licensing S.À.R.L (affiliate of Marriott International Inc).
• Advised Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) on numerous matters including ad hoc company law advice and the establishment of an entity in South Africa.
• Advised Pele Green Energy in respect of its bid submissions for the Grootpoort and Sonvanger Projects in BW 5 of REIPPP.
• Advised Richards Bay Gas Power 2 (Pty) Ltd in respect of its bid in the RMIPPP 2020.
• Advised on corporate governance issues and assisted various clients in company secretarial matters such as incorporating companies, creating security registers, filing director amendments, MOI amendments, change of auditors, etc.
