CDH's Banking, Finance & Projects team advised Diaz Wind Power (Pty) Ltd and InnoVent

Our team advised Diaz Wind Power (Pty) Ltd and InnoVent (the key Project Sponsor) on this landmark project , the first large-scale, wind power project of its kind in Namibia. The 44MW onshore wind farm, located in Lüderitz, marks a major step forward in the country’s renewable energy transition and sets a strong precedent for future independent power projects across the region.

Our mandate covered the full suite of project contracts, including the turbine supply and logistics, civil, electrical and installation contracts. The team engaged with several leading international contractors including Nabrawind Technologies S.I., AGL Global Logistics Namibia (Proprietary) Limited and KL Construction, GI Construction, Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Limited and Megatron Engineering Namibia.

The project successfully reached financial close with Standard Bank Namibia Limited as the senior lender for the project.
