Lucinde began her career in 1998 as a Candidate Attorney at Hofmeyr Herbstein and Gihwala Inc (now Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr). She was appointed as an Associate in 2000 and became a Director in 2004.
Lucinde specialises in:
a wide range of insolvency related proceedings such as liquidation and sequestration applications, the running of insolvency enquiries and other insolvency related litigation including prosecuting claims on behalf of liquidators, setting aside dispositions and assisting creditors with submitting claims in insolvent estates, perfecting securities on behalf of creditors (cessions/general notarial bonds). She acts for both liquidators and creditors;
forensic investigations – in liquidation and commercial dispute scenarios;
banking litigation including but not limited to litigating on securitised debt;
NCA disputes and related litigation and disputes on sale and lease buy backs and reckless lending;
company law disputes and litigation including shareholder disputes, director delinquency applications and shareholders' minority protection;
consumer law including franchise disputes (acting for both franchisors and franchisees) and Consumer Protection Act disputes;
commercial property disputes; and
Financial Services and Regulatory advice: Insider Trading and Market Abuse investigations and litigation.
Acted on behalf of liquidators in insolvency interrogations and enquiries and represented creditors at insolvency interrogations and enquiries.

Represented the Human Rights Commission in their submissions on the Protection of State Information Bill made to NCOP in Parliament.
Acted on behalf of the Housing Development Agency.
Represented the curators of the Fidentia group of companies in the recovery of lost investor funds and assets. Lead attorney in the application for the sequestration application against JAW Brown and Susan J Brown, and acted on behalf of the trustee of the insolvent estates JAW and SJ Brown
