Jamie's expertise encompasses the full spectrum of banking and finance law, including syndicated lending facilities, acquisition financing, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transactions. He has gained valuable experience in structuring complex financial instruments, conducting due diligence on major transactions, and providing strategic legal advice to financial institutions, corporates, and government entities.

Experience

  • Represented the Doornhoek project company and its majority shareholder and project sponsor, AMEA Power Limited, in reaching financial close of the 120MW (AC) solar photovoltaic facility at Doornhoek, pursuant to a BW 6 REIPPPP.
  • Acted as legal advisor to the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited in its financing to Reatile Renewables for its equity contribution into three renewable energy projects being the 140MW Khangela, 140MW Umsinde Emoyeni and 140MW Ishwati Emoyeni wind farms.
  • Conducting various due diligence investigations into the development, construction and operation of solar, wind and hydro renewable energy projects in South Africa.
  • Advised Greatsoft Proprietary Limited and its shareholders in respect of a sale of 100% of the shares of Greatsoft to Datamine Africa Proprietary Limited.
  • Advised Invenfin Proprietary Limited in respect of its acquisition of the Field Supply Company Proprietary
