CDH's Corporate & Commercial and Banking, Finance & Projects practices acted as Borrower and Sponsor counsel to Tsamela Solar Proprietary Limited and the Anthem Group on the successful financial close of the 20MW Tsamela Solar project in Eswatini.

The Tsamela Solar Project represents a landmark milestone for the Kingdom of Eswatini, being the first project in the Eswatini Electricity Regulatory Authority's First Tranche Procurement Programme to reach Financial Close. Alongside its sister project, the Middle Lusutfu Hydropower Project, which CDH also acted as Borrower and Sponsor counsel on, reaching financial close on this project represents a significant step for the Kingdom of Eswatini in enhancing its energy security and reducing reliance on neighbouring countries in Southern Africa.
