The Nairobi Legal Awards, an initiative of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) – Nairobi Branch, recognise legal practitioners who continue to make a remarkable contribution to the profession. Celebrating the most accomplished, innovative, and forward-thinking lawyers and legal departments across Nairobi and Kiambu Counties, these awards are among the region's most prestigious legal accolades.

Continuing its impressive winning streak, our Kenyan office was once again recognised at this year's awards, reflecting the exceptional calibre of its lawyers and their unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding results for clients. At the glittering awards ceremony held on Saturday evening, Sammy Ndolo, Njeri Wagacha and Alex Kanyi were recognised in the Commercial Practitioners category, while Desmond Odhiambo received recognition in the Litigation Practitioners category. These honours underscore the depth of talent within our Kenyan practice and the respect our lawyers have earned among their peers.

Congratulations to Sammy, Njeri, Alex, Desmond, and the entire CDH Kenya team on these well-deserved accolades.

This recognition follows closely on the heels of CDH Kenya being named the East Africa Venture Capital Association's (EAVCA) 2025 Legal Advisor of the Year. CDH Kenya also advised on several landmark, high-value cross-border transactions, including Vodacom's acquisition of an additional 20% stake in Safaricom, which received the DealMakers Africa (East Africa) Brunswick Deal of the Year 2025 award, as well as Nedbank Group's disposal of its 21.22% stake in Ecobank Transnational, which was shortlisted for the DealMakers Brunswick Deal of the Year 2025 (West Africa).
