Don’t get CC’d in someone else’s fraud
Close corporations are a bit like that band from decades ago that you thought had long since called
it quits, when suddenly they pop up again, still playing gigs. We tend to forget that although new
close corporations cannot be established since the advent of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, there are
still thousands out there, albeit playing in the metaphorical smaller venues. And, occasionally,
making some headlines.
