Sentebale Makara is a Director in our Dispute Resolution practice and the Construction & Engineering sector.  He is a qualified mediator in Missouri (USA), with a focus on sectors such as construction, engineering, mining, energy and transport. He specialises in dispute resolution and is well versed in arbitration, commercial litigation, investigations, procurement, reputation management and alternative dispute resolution. Sentebale's clientele includes prominent domestic and international firms in construction, mining, renewable energy, telecommunications and high net worth individuals. His work involves dealing with forensic investigations, disciplinary actions, inquiries, and disputes. Additionally, Sentebale has led workshops, seminars, and talks on resolving disputes.

  • Acts for various clients in stakeholder engagement disputes, which include community and socio-economic unrest disputes. 

  • Advised Rand Water in rescission of judgement application and the setting aside of unlawful contract.  Furthermore, he advised Rand Water in construction dispute launched by contractor.

  • Advised Veolia Water Solutions (Pty) Ltd (Contractor) in a contractual dispute with Employer. 

  • Advised various lodge owners with objections and appeals relating to Municipal Valuations Roll and Rates.

  • Acting for a client in defence of a claim for the return of shares in the High Court of South Africa in relation to a shareholders dispute.

  • Acted for Vaal Central Water (formerly) Bloem Water in various procurement disputes and construction law related disputes.
