Stellenbosch has been the genesis of some of South Africa’s oldest household-name corporates. CDH is proud to call many of these South African heavyweights our long-standing clients. Establishing an office in the region brings us closer to these key clients but, as Gasant Orrie, our Cape Managing Partner explains, “the move is about more than simple convenience – it is a demonstration that we are constantly looking for new ways to act as effective and strategic business partners to our clients”.

“Our experts have a proven track record for successfully leading corporates through company, country and market firsts. Stellenbosch presents an opportunity to leverage this valuable experience because the area continues to be a launchpad for significant new corporate ventures into the rest of South Africa and beyond. Our new office brings our renowned legal specialists and Stellenbosch’s thought-leaders together, affirming CDH’s long-held belief that powerful partnerships lead to powerful solutions,” says Brent Williams, CEO of CDH.

Given the nature of CDH’s work in the area and our strong client base, several of our Cape-based directors will regularly work from the new office, including Christoff Pienaar (National Practice Head of our Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice), André de Lange and Peter Hesseling (both from our Corporate & Commercial practice). Fatima Ameer-Mia, a director from our Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice will be permanently based in the Stellenbosch office.

We look forward to welcoming our clients, both long-standing and new, to our Stellenbosch office.
