This year’s winners were chosen from a pool of over 2500 individual client assessments. The awards recognise partners around the world for outstanding client care and client services provided. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology.

Comments from clients about Michael include:

  • Michael’s ability to match the needs of the company is very much appreciated; his advice always
  • demonstrates good understanding and commercial awareness.
  • Michael is responsive and his communication is very precise; he is patient when explaining the issues and possible solutions which is particularly helpful to clients with insufficient knowledge of South African laws.
  • Michael’s legal expertise, thought leadership and the deep technical know-how set him apart from peers in his profession.
  • Michael’s expert advice is deeply informed with solid principles, sound ethics, business commerciality, a strong sense of humanity and a good dose of humour.

This recognition adds to our growing list of achievers and is a tribute to the extraordinary contributions made by our lawyers in providing our clients with superior and innovative service as well as legal expertise. We congratulate Michael on this extraordinary achievement and for the role he has played in serving the needs of our clients.
