The latest results of the Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa 2013 have been released, and eight of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr’s practice areas, as well as 27 of the firm’s lawyers, were ranked and recommended in the survey. This survey is based on the opinions of more than 250,000 global corporate counsel who were interviewed in the past 12 months. The Legal 500 is an independent guide, and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit.

Brent Williams, CEO of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr business law firm, says, “The results speak to the breadth and depth of our expertise and to the resilience of our client value proposition. They also speak to living our values of enduring client satisfaction, maintaining integrity, garnering respect and committing to excellence.”

Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr  was recommended as a Top Tier Firm in three practice areas - corporate M&A,  dispute resolution, and projects and infrastructure. The firm has also been recommended in five practice areas  - banking and finance, competition, labour and employment, mining, and tax. Two lawyers are listed in the esteemed 'leading lawyers' list - Ludwig Smith (banking and finance)  and Emil Brincker  (Tax ). Twenty seven of the firm’s lawyers received individual recommendations in the survey.

“The firm has once again demonstrated that we are solidifying our reputation as a leading South African business law firm delivering excellent service to our clients,” Williams adds.
