Muriel Serfontein

Muriel began her career as a Candidate Attorney in 1991 at Van Velden-Duffey in Rustenburg and was appointed as an Associate in 1993. Muriel became a Director of that firm in 1995. In 2001 Muriel started her own practice, Serfontein Attorneys, until 2003 when she relocated to Johannesburg. She joined Hofmeyr (now Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr) as a Senior Associate in 2004 and became a Director in 2011.

• • Since joining the firm in 2004, Muriel has worked exclusively on the registration of bonds and linked transfers for SA Homeloans.
• • Prior to that she also practiced exclusively in conveyancing, attending to bond registrations for all four major banks, transfers, sectional title registers and the opening of township registers.
