Alex de Wet

Director

Alex de Wet is a Director in our Real Estate Law practice. He practices as a commercial attorney, conveyancer and notary public. Alex has been working on commercial property law matters and litigious matters associated therewith for the better part of 18 years in both South Africa and Lesotho.

Notable is that Alex has been advising on various renewable energy projects as well as the establishment of various licensed medical cannabis corporations in Lesotho.

Alex obtained his BCom and LLB degrees from the University of the Free State in 2004 and 2006 respectively.  He joined Webbers Attorneys, Bloemfontein in 2005 and after completing his articles he was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2007. He was appointed as Director and Partner with Webbers Attorneys Inc , Bloemfontein and Webber Newdigate , Maseru, Lesotho in 2014, during which he was the head of the departments in both countries. Alex joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as a Director in 2023.
