Ledile Maloka

Ledile Joyce Maloka was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2019 and subsequently joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as an Associate in 2023.

• Assisting with advising clients on complex commercial matters and insight on litigious strategy and options.

• Providing hands‑on expert legal advice, support and representation to the Centre’s clients, including communities and civil society organizations, on matters related to mining and the environment.

• Instituting appeals and court proceedings on behalf of the Centre’s clients, including researching, drafting and filing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents.

• Providing expert input into draft environmental and mining policies and legislation.

• Engaging with regulators and other decision‑makers as well as industry to support the Centre’s goals of achieving greater accountability, transparency and environmental compliance in mining.

• Training and overseeing the work of candidate attorneys at the Centre.

• Knowledge of relevant case law and Legislation.

   

• Skills to draft pleadings and discovery of documentation on all court processes.

• Preparation and research on all third party claims related litigation matters.

• Represent the Road Accident Fund on all third party claims related litigation matters.
