NEASA and Sakeliga file an urgent application to interdict the implementation of the sectoral numerical targets
On 8 July 2025, the National Employers' Association of South Africa (NEASA) and Sakeliga, a pro-business community, filed an urgent application against the implementation of the sectoral numerical targets. Their application argues that the implementation of the sectoral numerical targets are unconstitutional and violates administrative justice and equality rights, irrational and unlawfully enacted, and implemented without proper consultation and a socio-economic impact assessment.
On a related note, we await the judgment in the Democratic Alliance's application challenging the introduction of sectoral numerical targets. Click here to view a summary of the arguments presented by the respective parties in this application.
