Charlene is trailblazing a path for the deaf community in the corporate arena. "If I can do it," she says "any deaf person can also do it. That is my dream to grow more and to demonstrate to corporate South Africa that deaf people are highly competent". Charlene continues, "The best thing about CDH is that they treat me as a normal person." Charlene also pays tribute to the role of interpreters in the deaf community who ensure that communication is clear between parties.
