Teresa Njoroge spent 10 years building a banking career she had dreamed of since she was 9 years old. Then a 9.9 million shilling fraudulent transaction, one she didn't commit. walked through her branch. Everything checked out. The ID. The signature. The client. Everything. Except the CCTV. Which was conveniently blank. What followed was an arrest, a night on a police cell floor, and an officer who told her to her face, "I know you're innocent. You have been handpicked to carry the cross." Then asked her for a million shillings.
