Jessica Osmond is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution practice and Business Rescue, Restructuring & Insolvency sector, practicing with a focus on business rescue, restructuring, insolvency and general commercial litigation.

Jessica assists in advising corporate clients, creditors, liquidators and business rescue practitioners, in both the public and private sector.

Jessica joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as a Candidate Attorney in 2019. She served her articles of clerkship whilst serving in CDH's Employment practice, Tax and Exchange Control practice and ultimately Dispute Resolution. 

In May 2020 she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has been practicing in Dispute Resolution and Litigation since, wherein she has been appointed as an Associate.

 

  • Assisting in advising clients on business rescue and insolvency proceedings and disputes emanating therefrom
  • Advising on, and considering, contractual disputes
  • Attending to litigation arising from liquidation and business rescue proceedings, as well as general commercial litigation
  • Assisting with advising clients on complex commercial matters and insight on litigious strategy and options
  • Lexology Legal Influencer for Africa and Middle East in the Lexology Content Marketing Awards for the Q3 (Employment Law) category for 2019
  • Member of CDH team identified as local advisors in the Edcon Business Rescue – nominated as Business Rescue Transaction of the Year 2020 by DealMakers
