Chloe joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as Candidate Attorney in 2014. She was promoted to Associate in 2016. Chloe was promoted to Senior Associate in 2019.

  • Drafting and reviewing company secretarial documents and various commercial agreements, inter alia, memoranda of incorporation, shareholders agreements, sale of business agreements, and sale of shares agreements.
  • Conducting numerous corporate due diligence investigations and drafting due diligence reports.
  • Advising local and international clients with regard to compliance issues in terms of general company law.
  • Researching and drafting opinions on various aspects of commercial law.
  • Formed part of the teams which –
  • Advised Peri Formwork Scaffolding Engineering (Proprietary) Limited on issues relating to its compliance with the requirements of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, No. 53 of 2003;
  • Advised the University of the Western Cape on its compliance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013 and the National Credit Act 34 of 2005;
  • Undertook a due diligence investigation for Old Mutual on the data protection requirements of 16 jurisdictions in Africa and South America; and
  • Established a South African subsidiary on behalf of Check Point Software Technologies Incorporated.
