Chloe joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr as Candidate Attorney in 2014. She was promoted to Associate in 2016. Chloe was promoted to Senior Associate in 2019.
Drafting and reviewing company secretarial documents and various commercial agreements, inter alia, memoranda of incorporation, shareholders agreements, sale of business agreements, and sale of shares agreements.
Conducting numerous corporate due diligence investigations and drafting due diligence reports.
Advising local and international clients with regard to compliance issues in terms of general company law.
Researching and drafting opinions on various aspects of commercial law.
Formed part of the teams which –
Advised Peri Formwork Scaffolding Engineering (Proprietary) Limited on issues relating to its compliance with the requirements of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, No. 53 of 2003;
Advised the University of the Western Cape on its compliance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013 and the National Credit Act 34 of 2005;
Undertook a due diligence investigation for Old Mutual on the data protection requirements of 16 jurisdictions in Africa and South America; and
Established a South African subsidiary on behalf of Check Point Software Technologies Incorporated.
