Prior to joining CDH, Keshen was an Associate in the tax department at Hogan Lovells South Africa / Johannesburg Inc.

Keshen is a corporate and tax lawyer focusing on providing tax advice to corporates on local and international tax matters, including the tax structuring of both inbound and outbound investments and mergers and acquisitions.

Keshen is experienced in advising corporates across a broad range of sectors (including the aviation, pharmaceutical, mining, insurance, telecommunications and agricultural sectors) in various transactions, such as group restructures and merger and acquisition transactions. His experience also includes advising on the tax implications associated with Employee Share Ownership Plans (ESOP),  Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) transactions and financing/funding arrangements. 

From a tax dispute resolution perspective, Keshen has experience in acting both for taxpayers and the revenue authority in local and cross-border tax disputes including the preparation of objections and appeals to tax assessments, and has experience in litigating in the tax court and Supreme Court of Appeal.

In addition, Keshen also advises private clients on issues relating to tax residency and tax emigrations and advising charitable organisations on available tax efficiencies.
