Social Ethics Alert

What's the story about social and ethics committees?

The new Companies Act No. 71 of 2008 (New Companies Act) introduces the requirement of a social and ethics committee for certain companies.

The concept of the social and ethics committee is something  new in our company law. The equivalent of the social and ethics committee in other jurisdictions is the "corporate social responsibility" committee or "CSR" committee.
