Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr has updated its publication, which offers a concise overview of the Act. Signed into law on 24 April 2008, this landmark Act introduces a single comprehensive legal framework for consumer protection in South Africa.

This far-reaching Act will take effect in April 2010. It clearly spells out the entitlement of consumers and the responsibilities of suppliers of goods or services.
