Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr has published two in-depth articles on Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in South Africa

The first is an overview focussing primarily on the initiatives set in motion by the National Treasury’s PPP Unit to enhance the PPP framework. The second article reviews the progress made on those initiatives. It also considers South Africa’s infrastructure requirements and assess what role PPPs can play in fulfilling these.

The articles are written by Deon Govender, a Director in Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr’s Project, Finance and Banking practice, with special expertise in PPPs. The articles were published in Euromoney’s Privatisation and PPP Review Yearbooks for 2007/08 and 2008/09.
