Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr ranked among the world's top law firms in the Tax Directors Handbook 2011
Professor Emil Brincker's flourishing reputation as a global tax law expert is affirmed by his latest ranking among the best 250 tax advisers in the world in the Tax Directors Handbook 2011 (TDH250). Brincker heads the Tax practice group at business law firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.
The TDH250 section of the newly published Tax Directors Handbook 2011 highlights the world's leading 250 tax lawyers, as recommended by clients during the research process. Those individuals who clients consistently mentioned and stood out in each jurisdiction are included in the TDH250.
Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr is also recognised as one of the world's top law firms for tax in the 2011 edition of the Tax Directors Handbook, which analyses the tax capabilities of law firms in 47 jurisdictions. The Law Firm Tax 100 section of the Handbook details the largest global law firms ranked by the size of the tax department. The firm enters the publication's rankings for the first time in Tier 2 among South Africa's leading tax law firms.
The publishers comment that: "DLA Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr has steadily improved its profile in the tax environment, through ever more prestigious instructions and a series of later hires including Emil Brincker and Natalie Napier from Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs Inc."
"The firm has a broad tax practice, which includes specialist areas such as customs and excise as well as seamless cross-border services through its international network. Much of its work relates to corporate mergers and acquisitions, including BEE deals, for which the firm has a leading reputation."
