Grant started his career at Hofmeyr (now Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr) in 1994 and became a Director in 1996. He was integrally involved in the previous merger processes.

Advised PSG Group on aspects of Appleton acquisition and restructuring
Involved in various Section 417 (Companies Act) enquiries and Section 424 actions
Involved in extensive litigation on behalf of V&A Waterfront including the Huey Helicopter and Platinum Group disputes
Assisted Transnet in dispute with the City and Green Point residents involving development and construction of apartment complexes in the V&A Waterfront which affected Green Point residents' views
Acts for developers of Sea Point Pavillion in High Court review proceedings
Acts for Old Mutual; Remgro and Protea Hotels on a regular basis
Acted for the Fidentia curators in supervising the asset recovery process and supervising the Fidentia litigation and enquiry processes
Represents the University of the Western Cape and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
Has experience in international arbitrations (LCIA and others)
