Career

Alex was admitted as an attorney in 1976 and is also an attorney of the High Court of Namibia. Alex has been a director of Hofmeyr (now Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr) since 1978. He became a consultant of the firm in April 2012.

• The registration of other instruments like general plans in respect of township developments, subdivisions, certificates of consolidated and registered title: Plumstead Station; Heideveld Township; Westridge Mitchells Plain (Housing Board); Coniston Park Township Retreat.
• Vestings and expropriations - all national roads in the Western and Eastern Cape (South African National Roads Agency).
• Affordable housing projects - Mitchells Plain (Developer and Housing Board).

• The South African Football Association presented Alex with a Special Presidential Award: “Award of Recognition”.
• Former President, Nelson Mandela, presented Alex with a Special State Award: “In Recognition of Services to South African Football.”
